Here’s to another 365 days !

What is the vibe of 2026 and how can we make the most of it ? What can we expect ?

Midnight just struck and here we are, as a yearly ritual, wondering with excitement - or worry - "what will 2026 bring ? What’s coming ?"

The New Year symbolizes both an ending and a beginning, bringing hope, longings, projects, and challenges. Rather than your typical predictive interpretation of the stars, this article is about tuning in with the natural rhythm.

We can do this by looking at the main planetary movement of the next 12 months. We’ll try to make sense of it and see how these energies can possibly translate on Earth and in our lives.

One thing is clear: 2026 will be fiery !

Astrology is based on the concept of the 4 elements which are fire, earth, water and air.  Over the next 12 months, fire will be the most stimulated element with significant planetary movement travelling through fire zodiac signs. Fire is connected to our desire, our instinct and our passion. It expresses our personal will, and acts with courage and authenticity. However, fire can also lead up to impulsive reactions and destructive behaviors when frustrated.

Mark your calendars

  • February, 20th  2026 : Saturn + Neptune in Aries are planning a major reset.

Being both slow planets, the last time we had a similar layout was over 300 years ago. And because it will take place in the 1st degree of the 1st zodiac sign (aka Aries), we can definitely find some idea of a huge reset here.

Neptune is the planet of collective ideals, yearnings, faith and illusions. Saturn is the planet of responsability, structure, maturity, limitations. Aries is the spark, the one that needs to act on impulse, to initiate, to follow its gut feeling and take actions, mainly oriented towards the individual.

When mixing all of this together, it suggests that it is time to take ownership of our individuality. This is an invitation to bring maturity and structure to our impulses rather than rushing headfirst in pursuit of a grand ideal. How might we anchor our collective longings within our own personal identities?

More concretely, the lines between what we imagine and what is realistically possible will easily be blurred since Neptune tends to embellish our vision, making it difficult to tell whether we’re responding to a true calling or to an illusion. No matter how beautiful our project is and how much we initiate, we may feel frustrated and limited in how it actually comes to life. Projects and dreams need reflection, they need structure. Saturn will play a big role in making sure we pause. Its point is to ensure our actions rise from both authenticity and spirit, and that we turn the spark into an honest expression of the self rather than a reaction driven by a fantasy, haste or anger.

Aries ignites; Neptune romanticises; Saturn anchors.

  • July 2026: Jupiter says goodbye to Cancer and meets Leo.

Jupiter represents our expansion, our right to be︎︎. Leo is the fire that concentrates personal strength and power, that connects to our heart’s desire and shine

The summer of 2026 starts off with Jupiter lighting up the already very powerful and strong energy of Leo. Everything Jupiter touches expands and gets bigger.

This is an excellent opportunity to root our heart’s longing firmly. It is a time when relying on personal strength is natural, encouraged and legitimate. It promises us a glorious time for self-confidence, generosity and creativity. Think of this like your time to shine, to glitter and sparkle !

However, the self-centred nature of Leo also hides underlying insecurities, finding refuge in surface-level things like needing attention or looking good, and that’s when the heart’s true desire gets overshadowed. When combined with Jupiter’s tendency to blow everything up to dramatic proportions, things can get a little… inflated. Instead of healthy confidence, it can tip into smugness or show-off energy.

Beyond matters of appearance and ego, Jupiter in Leo can also amplify the need to feel strong and powerful, to display courage and bravery at all cost, spending so much energy in the process that one eventually feels drained and hollow.

Enjoy the boldness, and watch out for pride.

  • August 2026 : the lunar nodes show us a new path

☋☊ the Lunar nodes form an axis suggesting to us an 18-month direction. Virgo / Pisces : journey between control and reason VS trust and intuition. Leo / ︎ Aquarius : journey between self VS collective

The first half of 2026 will focus on resolving our struggle between control and faith, which began in early 2025 when the lunar nodes started travelling through Virgo and Pisces. By now, we are more and more invited to trust the process and give life a chance. It is about not letting control and over-analysis take over a spiritual experience.

Then, from August 2026, a new path towards an altruistic vision will be emphasized. What do I mean? Let’s look up. The Lunar Nodes will be transiting Leo and Aquarius, which is going to highlight big questions. This movement is especially about collective ideologies and group dynamics, as opposed to our ability to rely on the self.

From this point, up until the end of 2027, we will most likely experience a collective dynamic shift, shaped by detached ideologies and visions that mask an individual’s needs or day-to-day reality. This shift might make us feel lost in the crowd and draw us back to rely on ourselves.

Somewhere in Spain, following the path on the Camino de Santiago

From my studies, I can tell you that Aries and Leo will be very stimulated over the next 12 months. There are major movements happening in these fiery signs which are great opportunities for self-expression, taking actions, finding power, emboldening yourself to be daring and assertive !

However … fire burns. When not channeled or disoriented, it can flare up, get carried away, become aggressive and self-righteous. Fire tends to consume resources all at once and then burn out. Let’s watch out and support one another so that we do not fly too close to the sun :)

Air is also activated

♇ Pluto settles in ︎Aquarius. Pluto entered this air sign in 2025 after 16 years in Capricorn !Pluto is working on a long-term vision of our social dynamics, such as our sense of community being thoroughly questioned and remodeled. Right now, it may be difficult to notice clearly because of its in-depth work.

♅ Uranus enters Gemini in April 2026 - after 7 years in Taurus. This planetary placement emphasizes freedom ! Freedom of thought, of speech, of being. Uranus in Gemini activates a great need to explore, to keep options open and to have fun. Uranus is very much an electrical energy which, in Gemini, can lead to overstimulation and scattering ourselves across multiple projects and directions.

All in all …

2026 represents a great shift with the farther planets finally going from Water and Earth signs to Air and Fire signs.

For many years, we were into a more introspective, feminine dynamic that is about structuring, reflecting, feeling. Now, we move into a more expressive and externalised movement with a strong masculine energy which is about taking action, showing up, focusing.

2026 = a subtle balance between :- the self & the collective- honoring our personal desires & honouring our community

My interpretation of the 2026 atmosphere is all about reconnecting to the self in order to better serve the community. While Air tends to disconnect us from our bodies, stimulating more intellectual and social dynamics, Fire fuels an instinctive and personal energy. It’s time to embody what drives us, what we crave, what we are good at, what makes us unique, in order to create a more sustainable and bright community–together.

How do we remain individuals while still acting for a greater cause?

What about you ?

Typically, it would be time for me to list which sign will be “lucky”, “most impacted” or which are the ones who will struggle the most, but this is not the way I think astrology is most relevant.

But ! Great news ! Because we all carry the 12 zodiac signs, we are all impacted by these shifts. Let me suggest a few prompts for you to reflect on throughout the year. You might decide to write these questions in a journal or on a note at your desk. Checking in every couple of months or so can be a great way to tune in with change.

  • In what way can I embrace my individuality and personal strength this year ?

  • Where do I sense a natural pause around something I want to start? What is it showing me?

  • What can I do to ignite a strong and lasting impulse rather than burn it out?

  • What does it mean for me to embrace confidence and personal expression without letting pride take over?

  • How would it feel if I trusted my own strength without letting overconfidence guide my actions?

  • How can I shift from my tendency to rely on myself and dare myself to rely on others, without feeling lost in the crowd?

If you’re interested in understanding further how you can channel 2026’s fiery energy, I will be contributing two astrology electives this month! Drop any questions or reflections in the comments, let’s remember that pieces of ourselves are reflected in others too this year.

Happy New Year !
